Chocolate Cookies / Čokoladni piškoti

I made these DELICIOUS chocolate cookies today. Everyone loved them and couldn't get enough.


To niso navadni čokoladni piškoti, vendar najboljši čokoladni piškoti. So mehki in polni čokolade!!
Recept je zelo preprost, vendar potrebuje 425 gramov čokolade! Se zavedam, da se to zdi ogromno, vendar so ti piškoti vredni toliko čokolade.

                                           
























The cookies are soft and chewy and loaded with chocolate. I wasn't sure if I was willing to use a pound or about half a kilogram of chocolate for these cookies, but these delicious cookies are definitely worth it.






I got the recipe from Martha Stewart, but I did edit the amount of chocolate chunks I put into my cookies. Originalen recept sem dobila pri Marthi Stewart.

Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) semisweet chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 4 tablespoons (55 grams) unsalted butter
  • 2/3 cups (85 grams) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 grams) baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 grams) salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup (150 grams) brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (200 grams) chocolate chunks/chips
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius. Melt chopped chocolate and butter in the microwave in 20 second increments until almost melted. Do not over heat.
  2. In a small sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. In a mixing bowl, mix the eggs, brown sugar and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in the chocolate mixture. Mix in the flour mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chunks.
  4. Drop about a tablespoon worth of batter* onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place the dough about 2 to 3 inches apart or 5 cm apart.
  5. Bake in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Do not over bake, or else the cookies will lose the wanted texture. Cool on baking sheets for 10 minutes, then finish cooling on a wire rack.
*Please note that the batter will seem thin, almost like brownie batter and it shouldn't look like regular cookie dough.

Sestavine:
  • 225 gramov grobo nasekljane jedilne čokolade
  • 55 gramov masla ali fine za peko
  • 85 gramov moke
  • 2,5 gramov pecilnega praška
  • 2,5 gramov soli
  • 2 jajci
  • 150 gramov rjavega sladkorja
  • žlička vanilijevega sladkorja ali vanilijevega ekstrakta (približno 2,5 ml oziroma grama)
  • 200 gramov jedilne čokolade nasekljane na majhne koščke
Navodila:
  1. Pečico segrejte na 175 stopinj Celzija.
  2. V mikrovalovni pečici stopite čokolado in maslo ter ju dobro premešate, da sta dobro združena.
  3. V majhni posodi, zmešajte moko, pecilni prašek in sol.
  4. V posodi za mešanje, zmešajte jajci in sladkorja. Vanj nato počasi vlijete čokoladno mešanico. Potem vanj vmešate še moko. Na koncu vmešate še nasekljano čokolado.
  5. Pekač podložite z papirjem za peko. Nato naj položite maso* v srednji velikosti. Piškote pecite v pečici za 12 do 15 minut. Bodite pozorni in ne pustite, da se piškoti preveč zapečejo.
  6. Pustite piškote na pekaču za deset minut, nato jih pustite, da se do konca ohladijo na stojalu.

*Masa je redka in bolj tekoča, skoraj kot masa za brownije in ne kot za piškote.
