DIY Frosting bags

Homemade frosting bags are much cheaper than store bought. That is why I decided to fuse a regular plastic bag and fuse it in a way to create two frosting bags. I used the Ikea Hylta plastic bags, but you can really use any type. To fuse the bags, you need an iron and an ironing board, wax paper and of course the bags. I was really new to fusing bags, so I used tips from Releve design.

If you wish, you may draw a diagonal line over the plastic bag with permanent marker so you know where to iron.

Heat the iron. Then cut two pieces of wax paper and put them on the ironing board. put in between the plastic bag.

Iron over the diagonal line a few times, until the plastic has melted.

Cut over the plastic part, making sure you don't go near the edges of the melted strip, or else the bag will sprout leaks.

Use it as a regular frosting bag to frost and pipe a cake and cupcakes.

Enjoy using your own frosting bags!
