After a shower, I used to either wipe the mirror or wait until it defogged by itself. One time I tried using a hairdryer to speed it up and I never went back.
It is the easiest way to defog a mirror AND it doesn't leave any streaks. To do so, you aim the hairdryer at the mirror and turn it on high. Soon, you will see the fog clearing up. And just like that, you have an defogged mirror!
